This policy covers Kami Chess, the chess game KamiDesigns publishes for macOS, Windows, Linux and Android. It describes version 1.3.0, the version offered on this site.
What Kami Chess collects
Nothing. Kami Chess has no account and no sign-in. It contains no analytics, no advertising and no crash reporting, and it has no code that connects to the internet, so it sends nothing anywhere: not to us and not to anyone else.
On Android it asks for no permissions, not even access to the internet.
What it keeps on your device
Version 1.3.0 keeps nothing between games. It saves no game, no settings and no scores: when you close it, the game you were playing is gone.
- On Android it writes no files.
- On macOS, Windows and Linux it writes a file only when you start it from a command line with an option that asks for one, such as a screenshot saved where you tell it to. Opened the ordinary way, it writes nothing.
While it runs it can print messages about the game in progress to your device's own log or terminal. They stay on your device.
Later versions
If a later version keeps something on your device, such as a game in progress so that you can continue it, this page will say what it keeps, where, and how to remove it before that version is offered here, and the date above will change.
